How To Use My ChatGPT Teachers Pay Teachers Description Maker

Okay, so you’re here because you found the custom Teachers Pay Teachers SEO Description generator that I created, first for just myself and now i am sharing it with you. First, let me explain how I made it—because that’s what everyone wants to know!

I pay for ChatGPT Plus, so what I get is different from the free version. The Plus plan allows me to create what’s called a “custom GPT,” meaning I can teach it exactly how I want it to behave, so that you don’t have to do it over and over again anytime you use generic chat to make something. Think of it like building your own little assistant who knows the ins and outs of Teachers Pay Teachers, SEO, and product descriptions—without you needing to repeat yourself every time.

The Problem with Generic Chat Use

If you’ve tried using ChatGPT to help you write titles or product descriptions, you’ve probably run into the same issue I did: you have to re-type your prompts every time. You need to explain what makes a good title, remind it to include your keywords, ask it to follow TPT’s formatting, and hope it remembers to keep your SEO in mind. It’s exhausting.

So I Fixed It

I created this custom GPT by uploading my own master prompts and TPT best practices. For example, I told it: “The product title must appear in the first line of the description, for SEO purposes.” I also uploaded my full formatting guide for skimmable, clear, and teacher-friendly descriptions. Now, all you have to do is tell the chat what kind of resource you’ve made (grade level, subject, resource type, key standard), and it will generate a complete, optimized description for you—instantly.

Want it to include certain keywords? Just say so.

Want it to follow your own voice? It can do that, too.

But Wait—Will anyone else see your work?

Nobody else will see your work. ChatGPT doesn’t save or share what you type into it. On my end, I cannot see your content or drafts. I only see how many people are using the GPT—not who, not what they're writing, not even how long they stay. It’s completely private.

What This GPT Will Do for You

All you need to do is type into the chat box the key details about your resource: grade level, subject, format, number of pages or slides, type of activity, and anything else you want to highlight. Then simply say, “Write a TPT product description for me.” When you see “Thinking…” at the bottom the TPT Description Studio, it simply means the AI is processing your input. It’s not searching the internet—instead, it’s using the knowledge that I specifically inputted to generate a thoughtful, relevant response.

Behind the scenes, I’ve baked all the best practices into its master prompt. That means every description you get back will be:

✅ Skimmable
✅ SEO-friendly
✅ Clear and packed with the info buyers actually care about

When the product description is generated all you do is copy the entire thing and paste it directly into your product description

Copy and Paste where you need it

If you have ideas for how this tool could be even better—or if there’s something missing that would make your life easier—reach out to me! I built this for teacher-authors like us, and I’m always open to feedback.

💡 Coming Soon: I’m also working on a TPT Data Analyzer GPT to help you dig into your product performance, pricing, tags, and trends. You can preview that project here:

This new chat I am making need some bugs worked out, but if we could make something that will help us analyze our data accurately, wouldn’t that be fantastic!

Next, in the master prompt, i gave this chat all the information it needed to analyze a good product thumb image, the first image that your buyer will see. It will analyze the image and give you honest feedback. You can ask this chat to make the thumb image for you, I recommend using caution with this because it gives better tips than it does creating. I find that making the images myself is best.
